GameCamp Munich and Indie Outpost

Lately there have been two big events for the German game development scene: GameCamp Munich 2016 and Indie Outpost 18. I visited both and presented a 25 minute talk about name generation. If you are interested in the slides, please follow this link.

About 35 people visited Indie Outpost. Another talk was given by a good friend, Lisa about immersion in games and she provided a hands-on show of her bachelor project "Collect" which uses the Oculus Rift. After the talks we had some really nice discussions in a super friendly atmosphere at Coworking Space Nürnberg.

GameCamp was another ball park with about 200 participants. It is a BarCamp, so everyone can give one or multiple talks or prepare a workshop. I learned a lot about very different themes: how to use Facebook, why business cards are important, proper merchandise/giveaways, neuronal networks, "Bastarde" a great text adventure for android and some other great topics. This was a great experience and I can't wait for next year's GameCamp.
